The Fidelity National Title underwriters backing FNF Title International provide responsive support to customers initiating a claim. Claims are settled according to the conditions and stipulations of the title insurance policy, and paid within 30 days once the liability and extent of damage have been fixed, pursuant to the policy.

Claims Example

A government entity sold land in an auction to various buyers, including international funds with institutional investors. When one such fund purchased a portion of the property, it discovered claims being raised by supposed heirs. Although this created mostly timing delays for development, when it was discovered that the claims were based on a falsified power of attorney, the real heirs came forward to litigate – creating additional capital and time-intensive issues.
